Understand the terms and conditions applicable to all transactions made through EcoUmbrix stations.

PAYMENT POLICY EcoUmbrix — Smart Umbrella Stations

1 Purpose

This Payment Policy outlines the terms and conditions applicable to all transactions made through EcoUmbrix stations. By using the service, the user agrees to this Payment Policy.

2 Accepted Payment Methods

Payments are processed electronically using:

  • Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).
  • Compatible debit cards.
  • Contactless payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay, or equivalent).

EcoUmbrix reserves the right to modify accepted payment methods at any time.

3 Pricing

3.1 Rental Fee

  • The standard rental fee is $2 per use.
  • Pricing may vary depending on location and will be clearly displayed on the station.

3.2 Non-Return Fees

  • If the umbrella is not returned within a reasonable period, additional charges may apply.
  • Fees may be charged up to a maximum of $25 per umbrella (or as displayed on the station).
  • Once the maximum fee is charged, the umbrella is considered purchased by the user.

4 Payment Authorization

By using the service, the user:

  • Authorizes EcoUmbrix to charge all applicable amounts.
  • Accepts that additional charges may be applied in the event of non-return.

EcoUmbrix may place a pre-authorization hold on the user's payment method.

5 Transactions and Receipts

  • All transactions are processed electronically.
  • A receipt may be provided upon request or electronically.
  • The user is responsible for verifying the accuracy of transaction details.

6 Payment Failures

In the event of a declined or failed payment:

  • The transaction may be canceled.
  • Access to the service may be denied.

EcoUmbrix reserves the right to recover any outstanding amounts through legal means.

7 Refund Policy

7.1 General Rule

  • Rental fees are generally non-refundable.

7.2 Exceptions

  • Refunds may be issued in the following cases:
  • Station malfunction.
  • Duplicate charges.
  • Technical errors.
  • Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the transaction.

8 Payment Disputes

In the event of a dispute:

  • The user must contact EcoUmbrix first.
  • Abusive or unjustified disputes may result in restricted access to the service.

9 Payment Security

EcoUmbrix uses secure payment providers that comply with industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS). EcoUmbrix does not store full credit card information.

10 Fees and Taxes

  • All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
  • Applicable taxes are included or added in accordance with regulations.

11 Changes to This Policy

EcoUmbrix reserves the right to modify this Payment Policy at any time. The applicable version is the one in effect at the time of service use.

12 Governing Law

This Payment Policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada.
